• Two (2) banquet sign up sheets are going around as well.
• There is also a sign up sheet for the Broken Kettle bison field trip. We need to give Scott M. a number of attendees before 1 June so he can properly prepare for our visit. Scott says we will find the bison in Broken Kettle Grasslands. Meet at 8:00 AM at the main entrance to Riverside Park in order to car pool north to Broken Kettle. Randy will include a .pdf with the minutes regarding posting photos to a Nature Conservancy Flickr site if anyone wishes to share their photos.
• Clean it up! Thanks to the brave souls who cleaned our storage closet. Please take your prints and slides home tonight!
• We thought we’d try rearranging the chairs tonight to make sure everyone has a good look at the prints. Tell us if you like the new arrangements or not.
• Loess Hills Prairie Seminar is coming up. Randy will include .pdf attachments regarding the seminar when he sends the minutes. You can find more information at: http://www.nwaea.k12.ia.us/en/upcoming_events/loess_hills_prairie_seminar
Old Business:
• The slate of SCCC officers was announced:
o President – Mike W.
o Vice-President – Dawn M.
o Treasurer – Bill S.
o Secretary – Carl H.
o There were no nominations from the floor.
o It was moved, seconded and unanimously voted to accept the slate of officers as presented.
• Larry C. and Bob G. are working on getting our club’s constitution and by-laws up to date. They will also match our judging rules and standards with N4C.
New Business:
• Bill S. reserved the picnic shelter at Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve for us from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, 12 August.
• Steve Pa checked on chipboard as a backing for photographs. Cost is $0.18 per sheet from Verzani Printing. It provides a better presentation than an unmounted print. We will consider a club-based purchase.
Randy W. reviewed the prints that were judged for us by Christine McA.
Adjourn at 9:40 PM.
